HANSBAR is the brand name of cast iron produced by a horizontal continuous casting process in HANS materials Inc. Exceptionally high standards are maintained throughout the complete production process from raw material selection through to the finished product without any compromise being made. The continuous casting process is both unique and eco-friendly, giving excellent and assured casting quality.
The molten iron held in the concast holder provides a large head of iron above the graphite die, suppressing the risk of internal shrinkage defects in the pulled bar, whilst also allowing the lighter impurities in the iron to float upwards in the holder. This ensures homogenous material properties in the finished product.
HANSBAR is continuously cast iron bar (grey and ductile / spheroidal graphite irons) produced by Tech-Young Iron Concast Inc since 1991. Our competitiveness is not simply just price and quality. We differ from other manufacturers by our adherence to ‘on time’ delivery and excellent communication with the customer. This guarantees that we are the customer’s perfect partner.
HANSBAR is produced as round, square or rectangular shapes. HANS materials Inc. is the only manufacturer of continuous cast iron bar in South Korea and as such, it can be produced and supplied to the material properties and sizes required by the customer. Our technical team will suggest the optimum solutions to your problems.
1. As-cast Surface Finish After being drawn through the graphite mould, the surface finish of the bar is far superior to that of sand cast material.
2. Peeled or Milled Bar After peeling or milling the bars, the fine surface is optimally suited to further processing with precision and automated equipment.
3. Large Bar Sizes In the case of large sized bars (up to 510 mm or 450x500), we produce these in separate metal moulds, guaranteeing the same quality as continuously cast HANSBAR.
4. Partially Machined Bar To reduce the cost of customers machining, we supply partially machined (turned) products to the individual customer’s requirements at a very reasonable price.
HANSBAR conforms to all International Standards. Research and Development is continually being carried out on materials for low temperature and high hardness applications to meet our various customers special requirements.

We are very stringent with our control practices as HANSBAR products are destined to be machined. All our raw materials are of guaranteed quality and from stable sources. The whole production process is strictly monitored, completely without compromise.
Due to the dense microstructure and the extreme suppression of defects, HANSBAR shows superior characteristics when compared to regular sand casting products. Furthermore, when compared to steel with similar mechanical properties, it shows excellent machinability, with superior noise and vibration characteristics.
Due to its excellent quality and mechanical properties, HANSBAR is being applied to critical components across industries for such as pneumatic and hydraulic parts, rotors for high vacuum pumps and compressors, gears and shafts for automobiles. By adopting HANSBAR in your products you will immediately increase your competiveness in your market.
HANSBAR ensures excellent pressure tightness and excellent machinability, immediately removing any concerns you may have had about equivalent sand cast or steel products.

We are constantly seeking technical advancement and innovation in order to improve our already established world-class technology. However, we remain faithful to our basic production principles, but with due consideration and respect for others. These are the origin of our core values, namely passion, persistence, positive thinking, and harmony.
HISTORY HANS materials Inc. the registered owner and manufacturer of HANSBAR, began operations in 1972 as a copper alloy casting company. In 1990, the Company introduced the first horizontal continuous casting iron manufacturing line in South Korea. Ever since, we have supplied grey and spheroidal graphite continuous cast iron bars. In 1998 we restructured our Company, focusing only on our continuous casting iron business. As a result, we have grown up to be what we are today, in addition to being the only concast bar manufacturer in South Korea.
ENVIRONMENT HANSBAR believes in the eco-future of ‘Planet Earth’. This is why we introduced the environmentally friendly continuous casting process in order to improve the working environment. We intend to progress further to try to become a leader in environmental protection. We are sure that this small effort will add to the happy co-existence of all, both the Earth and ourselves.
